Classical Pilates

Classical Pilates is a movement system designed to strengthen, stretch, and balance the body through controlled, flowing exercises. It was created by Joseph Pilates, who believed that true fitness comes from connecting the mind and body. His approach, called "Contrology," focuses on breath, alignment, and full-body engagement to build strength, improve posture, and enhance overall well-being.

The holistic approach in Pilates is all about seeing the body as a whole system - connecting physical movement with mental focus and emotional well-being. It’s more than just an exercise method; it’s a way to move with awareness, balance, and strength. A holistic teaching style encourages the mind-body connection, helping to improve strength, flexibility, posture, and balance while also promoting mindfulness, stress relief, and inner focus.

Rather than isolating individual muscles, pilates works the body as a whole, creating a strong, functional, and balanced body that feels good inside and out.

Reformer Pilates

Reformer Pilates is a full-body practice performed on the reformer bed using springs, straps and a moving carriage to support and challenge you in equal measure. It’s a beautiful way to build strength, mobility and body awareness, while keeping that mindful, flowing feel you experience in mat classes.

Expect a blend of strength, stretch and control as we work through a series of movements that target the core, glutes, legs and upper body, with the added support and resistance of the machine.

I will guide you through each movement with attention to alignment, breath and technique, helping you feel grounded, confident and connected in your body.

I’m so passionate about creating classes that are grounded in technique but feel intuitive and energising, offering the perfect balance between strength, stretch, and mindful movement.

Community Events

I also host community events that bring people together through movement, connection, and calm. From summer solstice open-air pilates in peaceful countryside settings to slow mornings centred around women’s wellness, these gatherings offer space to pause, breathe, and reset.

I love collaborating with local businesses, independent brands, and beautiful venues to create thoughtful experiences where you can move mindfully and take time just for you. Each event is unique, but all are welcoming, inclusive, and designed to leave you feeling grounded and uplifted.

Contact me for any community event ideas and I’d love to get involved!

Science of Stretching

I’m currently training to become certified in Science of Stretching - a targeted flexibility method designed to help you safely and effectively improve your range of motion.

This approach is all about using long, gentle stretches and deep breathing to work with your body, helping you release tension and feel better in your everyday life. My goal is to support you in building more ease, comfort, and mobility, so you can get back to feeling your best - whether that’s in your workouts, at your desk, or just moving through the day.
